About
The platysma or skin muscle of the neck is a thin muscle located just below the skin and is closely connected to it and is located between the two collarbones and the base of the mandible. When treating the platysma muscle with botulinum toxin it is important to pay attention to the laryngeal muscles which are located just below the superficial fascia of the neck.
What is the procedure?
At the time of consultation with the specialist, it will be decided whether this procedure can give you the result you want and all aspects related to the indications, contents and risks of the procedure will be discussed.
An anesthetic cream is applied so that the patient does not feel any pain, and then the patient is asked to contract the neck muscle in order to better visualize the vertical meringues.
Take each band separately and inject small doses of botulinum toxin at a distance of 1-2 cm very superficially (at the level of the dermis). Some 4 to 8 points of botulinum toxin are needed for each band.
