About
The masseter muscles are a pair of strong muscles that are found on the side and bottom of the face. Hypertrophy of the masseter muscle is a benign condition whose etiology is unknown and consists in the increase in volume of the masseter muscles, thus giving a robust and enlarged appearance of the face at the level of the mandibular line.
What are the indications for treatment?
• bruxism or gnashing of teeth can cause an increase in the size of the masseter muscle
